So-and-so received a temporary salary decrease, and didn't tell me, but rather waited for me to find out for myself. I am putting my newly acquired stressor analysis skills to work: active-based and passive-based coping. What is controllable? What is not controllable?
Controllable: budget decisions.
Uncontrollable: the budget decrease.
Active: rethinking, recalculating expenses.
Passive: ???
